Independent Reading

Title: From The Corner Of His Eye
Author: Dean Koontz
Publication date:

This book is really interesting so far. Before I began to read this book, I expected this book to be very scary. I also expected it to be very exciting. At the beginning of this book, Koontz begins to tell of how Bartholemew Lampion was blinded in both eyes at the age of three. He also begins to tell about Lampion's family. He tells of how Lampion's mother died twice. "The first time she died was January 6,1965"(Koontz 1).
This really didnt make any sense to me because people cant die twice. After he tells more about her first death, Lampion goes on to tell of a lady named Agnes. The lady was in labor when she was entered into the story. Joe, her husband was a very large man. He was, "tall, strong, [and] he could have subbed for Samson, pulling down and collapsing roofs apon the Philistines"(Koontz 3). Agnes was in a glorious, beautiful girl. Joe never refused to raise her as high as she deserved to be.
